Requirements for Vehicle Rental

You must possess a valid driving licence that corresponds with the vehicle category, held for the duration outlined in the Rental Agreement. Booking and Payment Details
- Reservations can be made via our website, by telephone, or directly at our Stowmarket office. A booking deposit may be necessary to confirm your reservation. Full payment and a security deposit are generally required at the time of vehicle pickup. All prices are displayed in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards, processed securely through trusted payment providers.
Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off
- At the time of vehicle collection in Stowmarket, you are required to perform a detailed inspection and report any pre-existing damage right away. A vehicle condition report will be prepared and signed by both parties. It is important to return the vehicle in the same condition as it was collected, accounting for normal wear and tear. 7. Restricted Activities
Prohibited Vehicle Uses
- Use of the vehicle for illegal activities or purposes is strictly prohibited. This includes racing, off-roading, or any potentially dangerous behavior. Transporting hazardous materials is not allowed. Sub-letting the vehicle or permitting unauthorized drivers is forbidden. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is unacceptable. The vehicle should only be used for its intended purposes and within designated passenger and weight limits. Travel outside of the agreed geographical boundaries requires prior authorization.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental cancellation and extra fees.
Liability Limitations
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire Stowmarket will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim will be limited to the amount you paid for the rental in the previous 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury due to negligence, or for fraudulent actions.
